Meet Lauren – The Animal Lover Behind Our Pet Care Brand
Behind every great pet brand is a genuine love for animals. For Lauren, that love has been a constant throughout her life. Her passion for caring for animals began at a young age and eventually became the inspiration behind the creation of this business.
A Passion That Started Early
From a young age, Lauren was drawn to caring for animals of all kinds. This passion led her to attend an agricultural high school, where she was able to immerse herself in learning about animal care, welfare, and responsible ownership.
Growing up, Lauren was always surrounded by animals and took responsibility for many of her own pets, including dogs, cats, chickens, turtles, and birds. Caring for such a variety of animals helped her develop a deep understanding of the needs, behaviours, and wellbeing of different species.
Hands-On Experience Helping Animals
Lauren’s passion for helping animals extended beyond her home. During her high school years, she volunteered at a local koala rescue hospital, where she assisted in caring for injured and orphaned wildlife.
After completing school, Lauren began an apprenticeship with a veterinary clinic associated with the rescue centre. She went on to complete her qualifications as a veterinary nurse, gaining valuable experience in animal health, treatment, and preventative care.
Lauren later became a valued member of a large veterinary practice in Adelaide, where she cared for countless pets and supported families in keeping their animals healthy and happy.
Expanding Her Knowledge
Driven by her passion to learn even more about animals, Lauren was accepted into the Adelaide Zoo’s zookeeping program. After completing her training, she began working at Adelaide Zoo while continuing her work as a veterinary nurse.
This unique combination of veterinary care and wildlife experience allowed Lauren to deepen her understanding of animal behaviour, enrichment, and wellbeing.
The Inspiration Behind Our Store
Lauren’s lifelong devotion to animals is what inspired the creation of this business. Having spent years caring for animals in both veterinary and wildlife environments, she understands how important it is for pets to have products that are safe, practical, and enriching.
